Tabarca Island has the Second-Best Beach in Spain

According to the latest report from the National Geographic magazine, Tabarca Island, off the coast of Santa Pola, has the second-best beach in the whole of Spain, second only to Castro de Baroña, in La Coruña, in the north western Galicia region of the country.

The island of Tabarca, whose sea is impeccable because the island is surrounded by a meadow of Posidonia oceanica, offers a special place as it is considered a Marine Reserve of fishing interest since 1986.

There is also a second beach in the Alicante province on the top 25 list, and it is the Cala Granadella de Xàbia, with crystal clear and turquoise waters, is an ideal place to practice scuba diving due to the clarity of its seabed. However, being one of the most beautiful beaches, it is also one of the most crowded during the summer months.
