Uncovered and covered by the end of Covid restrictions
On Wednesday morning, the Official State Gazette (BOE) was published, entering into force immediately, which meant the end of the mandatory use of masks in those areas where they remained, such as hospitals, health centres and pharmacies, amongst others.
However, as a direct result of the end of the Covid crisis, one group of people will now be forced to wear more material.
As of the publication of the BOE on Wednesday, gowns are once again mandatory in courts.
The dispensation from the use of robes was established in article 17 of Law 3/2020 of September 18 on procedural and organisational measures to deal with Covid-19 in the field of the Administration of Justice.
In principle, it was decreed until June 20, 2021 but, at the request of the General Council of Lawyers, that exemption was extended until all the restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic disappeared.
The agreement to declare the end of the health crisis situation caused by Covid-19 was reached on July 4 in the Council of Ministers and was published on Wednesday, July 5 in the BOE.
