Starting Monday, a jury from the Barcelona Court will judge two twin girls and the boyfriend of one of them, accused of allegedly murdering the boyfriend of the other in 2021 in Sabadell (Barcelona).
The prosecutor believes that the three of them created a plan to kill the victim in the early hours of July 10, 2021, and in his indictment, he states that to commit the crime, the victim’s partner invited him to her house and, when they were in the bedroom, the other couple arrived without him expecting it.
Then, the victim’s brother-in-law allegedly attacked him “delivering multiple blows with a metal lever”, hitting him in the head at least 12 times, causing him to die.
The prosecutor adds that the man acted “with extreme violence” and that he followed the victim to continue attacking him while he tried to flee through the landing and the lower floor, where he finally died and was left lying on the floor.
Afterwards, the three accused allegedly wrapped the body with a blanket, tried to clean the blood stains from the floor and took the body to the floor where the attack had started, and there the police surprised them, who came on the tip of other neighbours of the apartment building.
The prosecutor asks for a sentence of 24 years in prison plus five years of supervised release for all of them for an alleged crime of murder.
The man has been in provisional prison since the crime, while the two sisters entered five months later and in February 2022 they were provisionally released pending trial.
