In the space of just 2 days, the Galician courts will hold 5 trials for sexual assaults on minors, as reflected in the information provided by the Superior Court of Justice of Galicia (TSXG).
Two of these cases are scheduled for Tuesday in the Court of A Coruña, and another for the same day in the Court of Lugo. Two cases will also be tried on Tuesday at the Pontevedra Court. Specifically, in the fifth section, based in Vigo, there will be hearings for the same case on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In the case of A Coruña, a man accused of continuously sexually assaulting a minor with whom he lived between 2010 and 2017 will sit on the bench, for whom the Prosecutor’s Office is requesting 12 years in prison.
A man accused of touching a girl on the street at the beginning of 2023 will also be tried, him facing 8 years in prison.
The Lugo Court, for its part, will host the hearing against a man accused of touching and kissing a minor with whom he had a familiar relationship and with whom he lived. The Public Ministry asks for six years in prison for him.
Finally, in the Pontevedra Court, a hearing will be held against a man for whom the Prosecutor’s Office is requesting ten years in prison for sexual assault on a minor at different times in 2018, “without violence or intimidation” and the fifth section, with headquarters In Vigo, a social worker accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl she met in a juvenile centre where she worked will be put on trial on Tuesday and Wednesday.
