The trial begins today, Wednesday, against a resident of Arroyo de la Encomienda who was arrested in March 2022 in possession of more than 100 grams of amphetamine that he hid in the dashboard of his vehicle.

On a provisional basis, the Valladolid Prosecutor’s Office requests that the defendant be sentenced to four years in prison and pay a fine of 6,000 euro.

The arrest occurred on March 17 of last year following an intervention by the local Police at the accused´s home following an emergency call reporting a couple arguing and that the woman had taken a knife to try to harm herself. This was the second call to the home on the day for similar incidents.

When the police patrol went to the home, the agents saw how the now accused left the property and left the place aboard a car that they intercepted and searched.

It was then that on the dashboard of the vehicle, in a hole where the air vents are located, the police found a plastic bag containing 101.8 net grams of amphetamine that was allegedly hidden for sale to third parties.

With this amount of drugs, the police estimate that they could have obtained 2,799 euro in retail sales in grams and 4,226 euro for its sale through 407 doses.
