Aena’s airport network plans to operate a total of 27,693 flights between the six days of this holiday period, from Tuesday, December 5 to Sunday, December 10, which is 9.4% less than the 2022 holiday period, which included 30,571 flights in seven days, according to data provided by the airport manager.
With respect to 2019, it cannot be compared since this year there were four days to enjoy the Constitution Bridge, with 18,576 movements.
Thus, Sunday, December 10, will be the day with the highest number of scheduled operations, with a total of 5,262 flights planned, followed by Saturday, when 4,803 operations are planned, and Friday, when 4,669 movements will be carried out. The quietest day will be Tuesday, December 5, when 4,298 flights will be made.
The five airports with the most operations during these days will be Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Barcelona-El Prat, Gran Canaria, Málaga-Costa del Sol and Palma de Mallorca.
Specifically, the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas is at the head of the movements of the national airports on this bridge, with 6,047 operations, with Sunday being the day with the most flights, up to 1,076.
Next is El Prat airport, with 4,758 movements planned for these six days; Gran Canaria, with a total of 2,242 operations; and Málaga-Costa del Sol and Palma de Mallorca, with flights 1,877 and 1,563, respectively.
