Spanish train operator Renfe has launched a promotional campaign to encourage travel to Valencia on AVE, Avlo, Euromed and Intercity trains during the celebration of one of the region’s biggest events, the Fallas.
Tickets for this promotion can be purchased until February 4 and are available, while seat availability lasts, for travel between March 1 and 20, with an example price starting at 7 euro each way in relation to Madrid.
To meet the existing demand, the company will reinforce the service during the event days on the Madrid-València and Barcelona-València routes, with trains that will circulate doubling their usual capacity.
The Fallas, declared by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, are a unique celebration in the world. Valencians live the tradition of this popular festival with authentic fervour and prepare for it throughout the year.
The Fallas artists decorate the streets with enormous wooden monuments that fill them with colour, satire and good humour, while the smell of gunpowder and the festive atmosphere spreads throughout Valencia.
After starting with the Plantá de las Fallas infantil on March 15, the different events will take place, such as the different Mascletás, until culminating with the spectacular Nit del Foc in the early hours of March 18 to 19 and the exciting Cremá on the same day, the 19th. with the famous burning of the fallaes.
