Wednesday Markets and Statistics – 14 February 2024

The GDP and the evolution of employment in the fourth quarter in the eurozone, together with the industrial production data for December in the bloc, will be the main references of a day in which the Annual Conference of Mediterranean central banks is held.

In Spain, the focus will be on the business field. Mapfre and Aedas Homes present their quarterly results.

The governor of the Bank of Spain, Pablo Hernández de Cos, will speak at the VIII Conference of Mediterranean Central Banks: “Stay the Course in Turbulent Times: Old and New Challenges for Central Banks”.

The Bank of Spain publishes the Financing of the Eurosystem for January.

In the Eurozone, there will be a speech by the Vice President of the ECB, Luis de Guindos, at the Annual Conference of Mediterranean Central Banks in Split (Croatia), and Eurostat publishes the preliminary estimate of GDP and employment for the fourth quarter, as well as industrial production for December.

In the UK, the CPI for January comes to light, as does the production price index (PPI) for January, and there will be a 10-year debt auction.
