Snowploughs ready for action
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has activated the necessary means to deal with snowfall that may occur in the Communities of Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León and Catalonia during the snowstorm expected between now and Wednesday.
To deal with these phenomena, the Ministry has 686 snowploughs and a storage capacity of 129,005 tons of fluxes.
The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued a warning bulletin for orange level snowfall in the communities of Asturias, Cantabria and Castilla y León; and for Tuesday and Wednesday a warning bulletin for orange level snowfall in the Community of Catalonia.
Given this situation, it is necessary to call for caution and take extreme precautionary measures when traveling on the road.
