The Guardia Civil has seized 2,345 kilos of hashish after intercepting an inflatable boat on the coast of Gran Canaria. The two crew members – aged 36 and 26 – have been arrested for a crime against public health.
The police device, in which agents from the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police and the Provincial Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil in Las Palmas have participated, has been deployed by land and sea.
The ONCE Foundation, through its entity Inserta Empleo, will present the Informe 9 Odismet report on the labour market in Spain today, and the employment situation of people with disabilities, prepared by the Observatory on Disability and the Labour Market of ONCE Foundation (Odismet), which is also celebrating a decade since its creation.
The presentation will take place at the Por Talento Digital headquarters in Madrid, and will be broadcast live on the You Tube channel. In addition, it will be narrated on social networks with the hashtags #Informe9Odismet and #Odismet10Aniversario.
UPA-UCE and Asaja, together with Agro-Food Cooperatives and the Interprofessional Tobacco Organization (OITAB), will hold a mobilisation in front of the Ministry of Agriculture today, in an attempt to save tobacco cultivation in the Extremadura region after the ban on dichloropropene and the implementation of generic packaging included in the Comprehensive Plan for the Prevention and Control of Smoking.
The convening parties stressed in a press conference that “more than 20,000 Extremaduran families who live, directly or indirectly, from tobacco cultivation cannot be abandoned to their fate.” Furthermore, it is a sector that helps maintain life in rural areas by developing in an area without any other type of alternative.
