This was the legend on top of the cake made by Valerie of Cake Magic, to celebrate the 80th birthday of Patrice Satur, on 17th May.
The cake depicted scenes from Patrice’s early life, including his Armenian nationality, his Burma birthplace, education in India, workplaces building oil and gas rigs in the Middle East, Paris and Italy, and his home in Newcastle until he came to Spain.
The top represented Patrice’s lifelong hobby of dancing. He celebrated his birthday along with about 60 friends at the Olympia Restaurant, Mil Palmeras, where a sumptuous buffet was provided by Elena, and fantastic entertainment by Juke Box Legends and Andy Jones.
Patrice arrived in Spain in 2005 as a widower, and joined dining clubs, where he soon met his partner Diana, and they now live in Torre de la Horadada, enjoying life in Spain and travelling the world, just having returned from Hawaii and San Francisco.
Patrice has two sons and 4 grandchildren, who live in Australia and Norway.
