COUNTRY MUSIC NIGHT RAISES 455 EUROS FOR CARITAS

A night of Country Music presented by local entertainer Brian Jenkins raised 455 euros for Caritas recently. The function was held at Mary’s Bar in Pinar de Campoverde on 18 May. A suitably attired Brian handed over the cheque to the pastor of Pilar de la Horadada, Francisco Morato, and others, last week.

Violeta Martínez, the councillor for Citizen Participation, who was also present at the ceremony said that “Gestures as supportive as this are very important for Caritas, which in recent months has been in need of more help than ever.”

The Director of Caritas in Pilar de la Horadada, Pepita Sanchez, also welcomed the outstanding support of all participants.
