A dog that has spent the last three months trapped in a five kilometre network of tunnels has finally been rescued by s concerned human.
Fire fighters in the Málaga town of Vélez had been asked to intervene in the rescue, but were unable to do so as there was nobody willing to pay the bill for their time and expertise.
Starving and thin, nearing death through malnutrition, a local, known as Quique, decided to take matters in hand, and set about finding and rescuing the confused and disorientated pooch.
Despite the amount of time and effort it took, the rescue was successful, now all that remains is for Quique to “find an owner with whom the dog can live in peace after having gone through an extreme situation”.
