Benefit Fraudsters Arrested
Officers from the National Police have arrested 85 people in connection with an investigation into a group which defrauded 800,000 euro from public money through seven fictitious companies.
The group, which was run by members of the same family, originated from Morocco and operated through different Spanish provinces, including Alicante and Murcia.
The gang were active between September 2014 and today, with the aim of offering foreigners the opportunity to receive an employment contract in Spain, thus benefit from social security and state aid.
