Councillors involved in social welfare and employment from Torrevieja, Guardamar and Pilar de la Horadada met on Tuesday in Torrevieja to discuss the possibility of a joint strategy to create employment across the area.
The councillor for employment in Torrevieja, Victor Ferrández, explained how the intention is to create plans, both short and long term, in order to share employment opportunities across the coastal area related to tourism, the beach or the environment and conservation, thus create synergies that have more strength in obtaining aid from the central Government administration or the European Union.
Ferrández concluded saying that “The most vulnerable and the most affected by the crisis deserve special effort by government at these two joint ventures, one short term and one with a little more foresight, in order to guarantee solutions to Torrevieja, Guardamar and Pilar de la Horadada”.
