A drunk driver who was six-times over the maximum permitted limit caused damage to fifteen vehicles, as well as his own, whilst driving through the maritime district in Castellón on Sunday night.
The driver of the BMW lost control of the vehicle at around 00:45 and smashed into the other cars which were parked on the street.
A witness alerted the local police who attended the scene and found the driver conscious, though displaying signs of having consumed alcohol. The officers requested a testing unit attend the scene and breathalysed the 23 year old Spanish national who found him to be positive for alcohol.
The driver had suffered numerous, though not life threatening injuries, and the subsequent inspection of the area revealed a variety of street furniture and features had also been damaged.
