Members of the Guardia Civil traffic department and the N332 Project visited the Elche Children´s home again last week, partly in the interest of road safety and partly to get a thrashing from the children in the latest football tournament.
The children were firstly given a presentation from the team about road safety, which dealt with all kinds of different aspects including cycling safety, responsibilities of pedestrians, and an insight into how they can stay safe in future years when they too finally get behind the wheel of a car.
The Euronics stores in Quesada and Blue Lagoon have been the latest contributor to the project, paying for an advert on the main page of the n332.es website. All of the money they gave this month was put towards the football tournament with shirts being bought for the players, and a party of food and soft drinks afterwards.
The children then presented the team with their own certificate they had created to thank them for attending and for spending time with them.
For the tournament, three teams competed, the Guardia Civil, the teachers from the home and the children. No doubt through their excellent team work, it was the children who were victorious on this occasion.
We would like to thank the Euronics store, “The Electrical Shop” for their contribution. Please visit their shops in Quesada and Blue Lagoon, or their website, www.electricalteam.eu, to show your support for them.
The faces of the children have been obscured to protect their anonymity.
