Strong gusts of around 70 kilometres an hour hit parts of Alicante Province on Monday afternoon, leading to some fallen trees, but no injuries. A tree fell onto the roof of a car right by the Quesada arches on Monday afternoon, and elsewhere a large palm tree was blown over in Torrevieja’s Plaza Capdepont (pictured).
