The number of unemployed people in Spain fell by just over nine thousand to three point seven million in February, according to official government figures. Overall, the number of people out of work has gone down by over 402 thousand over 12 months.

On a month-to-month basis, the Murcia region’s total of 117 thousand people unemployed showed little change, but over a year, the overall figure has gone down by nearly 10 percent.

In Alicante Province, February’s figures showed a rise of just over a thousand in a total of just under 170 thousand, but like in Murcia and across Spain, the numbers were down over a year, with a fall of over eight percent.
