A cyclist, said to be a 62-year-old Ukrainian, was killed on Sunday morning whilst cycling on the N-332 in the Moncayo area, between the Alicante province towns of Guardamar and Torrevieja.
Listen to this articleThe man, a resident in Rojales, was hit by a vehicle said to be driven by a 24-year-old girl. A paramedic ambulance was sent to the scene but could do nothing to preserve the life of the cyclist, whereas the car driver was taken to Torrevieja hospital suffering from shock.
An investigation is underway to determine the facts which led to this latest tragedy.
