Three suspected drug traffickers face 10 years in prison
The fourth section of the Provincial Court of Pontevedra will judge three alleged drug traffickers today, Tuesday, accused of transporting cocaine to Barcelona. They are two residents of Vilanova, and one of Mos.
The prosecutor requests 10 years in prison for all of them (eight for an alleged crime against public health and two for belonging to a criminal group) and a fine of 433,000 euro, to be paid for each of them.
The investigators state that the alleged group operated between 2017 and January 2019, at which time it was dismantled. The suspected leader was a resident of Vilanova and they sent the drug to different parts of the province of Barcelona hidden in compartments of vehicles specially adapted for the transport of the drugs.
