Waiter on trial for sexual assault of a minor
The trial begins today, Tuesday, in the Second Section of the Provincial Court in Palma de Mallorca, against a man accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old minor in a bar where he worked, in Palma.
The Prosecutor asks for a sentence of three years and six months in prison for the man, three years of supervised release and the prohibition of approaching within 500 metres and of communicating by any means with the minor for a period of five years.
Furthermore, as a civil liability, the Prosecutor demands compensation of 4,000 euro from the accused for the moral damages caused to the minor.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office brief, the events judged took place in the winter of the 2019 school year, when the accused, while working as a waiter in a bar in Palma, invited a minor under 15 years of age to enter the bar in order to shelter from the rain.
Then, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, “with a libidinous and lascivious spirit”, the accused approached the minor and hugged her tightly, beginning to kiss her on the neck, while touching her buttocks and breasts over her clothes, and grabbed her by the hip, pulling her towards him, before attempting more intimate contact, to which the minor constantly resisted, finally managing to flee the place.
