Celebrating World Bread Day with Free Bread

The Provincial Association of Bakeries and Pastry Shops of Ciudad Real (Afexppan) will celebrate World Bread Day on Monday, October 16. It is a very important anniversary for the bakery union because it vindicates and praises the indispensable figure of all the people who they dedicate their valuable time to making this precious product.

Afexppan, together with the collaboration of the Ciudad Real City Council, will set up an information table throughout the morning in the city’s Plaza Mayor and will take advantage of the moment to deliver two thousand bread rolls to all attendees, in addition to clarifying any type of information requested about the work of bakers.

The Provincial Association of Bakeries and Pastry Shops of Ciudad Real thanks and congratulates the “extraordinary work that all our associates do every day to move their businesses forward” and praises that this union is “one of the oldest that has always lasted with the pass of the time”. Furthermore, the Board of Directors highlights that artisanal bread, that which is made with “a lot of love in the ovens,” “has countless health benefits” and explains that “it cannot be missing from any diet.” After all, “there is nothing better than a handmade product, made with meticulous detail and with quality raw materials,” he emphasizes.

Afexppan invites anyone to “attend this meeting to celebrate World Bread Day” and learn “first-hand the advantages of consuming artisanal bread.” In this protest day, attendees will also have the opportunity to discover and check what the IGP Pan de Cruz is like, which is a delicacy of this land and has a Protected Geographical Indication.
