On Thursday, lifeguards from the Cruz Roja recovered the body of a juvenile loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta), about 36 centimetres in length, whose body was in a state of decomposition, and showed no obvious signs of cause of death.
On the same day, at Cabo Cervera, a live turtle was found swimming less than 1 meter from the shore. Although turtle rescues are also becoming more common, the installation of a special bucket for their rescue seems to have been forgotten, as it doesn´t appear to have ever been used, and hasn´t been seen since the dignitaries of the town hall posed for their photographs with the device.
