The Tourism and Youth Councillors, Rosa Martinez and Carolina Gracia, met with Raul Saez Barbera last week representing the Aluprafe Orihuela Club de Fútbol Sala which currently plays in the national Second Division B where they are currently sitting at the top of the table.

The council has agreed to sponsor the club to the tune of 16,000 euro in exchange for which the club will wear a playing strip which will bear the city name and logo.

The club will also provide free access to their home games for students from the Municipal Sports Schools on production of valid identification .

Aluprafe is the only Orihuela sports club that currently disputes a national league .
