Voting in the European Elections starts on Thursday. If you are still undecided of where your vote should go, or just want to see exactly what is going on in Europe, there is a great tool on the official website, which Mark Nolan mentioned on Exite Radió on Monday whilst talking with local politician, Bob Houliston.
Basically, you are asked your opinion on a series of questions, and you give your own, honest answer. Then, at the end, it tells you, in order, which political groups your opinions are most in line with. It also tells you the least, so you can then research the group which thinks the way you do and then choose to vote for them and have a better representation in Europe.
The election to choose the 751 members of the European parliament who will represent the people of the member states for the next five years takes place between the 22nd and the 25th of May, the actual day of voting is dictated by the laws of each member state, the results from all 28 states of Europe will be announced on the evening of Sunday the 25th.
The survey only takes a few minutes to complete, and can give you a better overview of the elections and parties based on your own feelings than any of the literature you may have seen or read. The link to the site is www.myvote2014.eu
