DIPLOMAS AWARDED FOR TOURIST QUALITY

Over 40 diplomas were awarded last Tuesday by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolon, to employees of municipal and other local companies, who had attended the recent Training Course in Tourist Quality (SCTE).
A number of other local dignitaries at the ceremony including the director of the Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Mazon, the Provincial Deputy of Tourism , Joaquín Albaladejo and the Councillor for Tourism, Luis María Pizana.
The certificates were presented by the mayor on the terrace of the Municipal Tourism Office, Paseo Vista Alegre and it was attended by the 45 recipients who had qualified in a number of different economic sectors of the tourist industry : hospitality (7) tourist accommodation (5) , marinas (3) , adventure tourism (1) trade (14) , tourism real estate (2) and other services (8) including the departments of museums , tourist office , public safety and beaches.
The object of the training course was to familiarize council staff with the importance of establishing a quality system achieving the same standards of Practice amongst each of the sectors represented.
