“To be nominated is something magical”

“This red carpet event will be celebrated on the 4th November in the Fonda Theatre of Los Angeles, California.

The local singer and composer Shani Ormiston has recently been nominated for prizes in “Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2014”, known as the ‘Oscars of independent artists’ that recognises the best producers and composers of the world in distinct categories, such as music, films, television, videogames, musical videos, among others

This is the third consecutive year that Shani has received this Hollywood recognition, with a total of six separate nominations. This year the young composer aspires to two prizes in distinct categories – “Once Upon a Time” nominated as Best Pop Song of 2014 and “Brave” in the Contemporary Adult Category, two songs that form part of her latest musical work.

This red carpet event is held on 4th November in the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, California, which attracts artists from all over the world. This year there will be 28 Spanish artists reaching for the stars in various categories. The award ceremony will be hosted by actor, himself an Oscar nominee, Eric Roberts, the director of cinema Andy Fickman, the producer Verdine White, and guitarist Adam Gaynor.

The singer and composer affirmed that she feels very emotional after receiving the news:- “To know that I have been nominated has been an excellent piece of news, I feel tremendously happy and content as this is another step forward in my career, the simple fact of being nominated is something magical.”
