‘YES WE CAN’ (SÍ SE PUEDE) PRESENTS ITS CANDIDATES IN TORREVIEJA

La Plaza de la Constitución was the venue chosen by the political party ‘Yes you can Torrevieja’ to launch its campaign for the upcoming Municipal elections last weekend.

The meeting began with a spokesman presenting the manifesto in front of a healthy gathering. Much of it was explained in detail following which reasons were then provided for the need of this new Party. “We have decided to take responsibility and govern for ourselves.”

A number of candidates attended the event, many of whom introduced themselves to members of the public before taking questions of their own.

Each of the candidates asked for the support of citizens as they went about the collection of signatures that are necessary for them to become a credited party which is able to campaign in the elections.

A total of 1,500 signatures are needed, many of which were collected at the launch with tables set out in la Plaza de la Constitución for the purpose. The group announced that they will be carrying out similar events across the whole city in the coming days.

The Party called for the elimination of wasteful spending and the boosting of social investments by the Town Council although they didn’t explain quite how this might be achieved..
