The DGT has launched a subtle improvement to traffic information boards on some of the roads in Spain, indicating if there are delays en route.
Alongside timings for journeys to featured areas, some of the display panels will now display a clock face.
A white clock indicates that traffic is flowing normally, whereas a red clock indicates that there are delays.
The aim is to try to provide more information to motorists and therefore encourage safety though the awareness of problems ahead.
