25,000 Brits Left Spain

The President of the Valencia Region, Ximo Puig, has blamed Brexit uncertainty as for the reason why 25,000 British immigrants have left the region to return to their native country, according to the latest data published this week by the Institute of National Statistics.

The President made the statement whilst taking part in the pilgrimage to the monastery of Santa Faz.

Many areas popular with Brits have seen a rapid decline in foreign residents, with Torrevieja seeing one of the biggest declines in recent years, where around 20,000 Brits were taken off the census in the last 5 years or so.
