Wanted Brit Arrested in Benidorm
Officers from the Local Police in Benidorm have arrested 53-year-old, David Grundy, who is wanted for questioning over the stabbing of a 42-year-old woman at a Pinar de Campoamor.
The local police were alerted on Saturday by the Guardia Civil from Pilar de la Horadada of the possible location of the suspect, and launched an intensive search for the vehicle believed to have been used by Grundy in his escape.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, the police located the vehicle parked in calle Estocolmo, in the Rincón de Loix area, near to the apartamentos Bermudas block.
The officers called for reinforcements and proceeded to establish a localised search. The suspect appeared shortly afterwards and was arrested. Inside the vehicle, officers found clothing and 4,600 euro in cash.
The detainee is scheduled to be brought before the courts on Sunday.
