Woman Dies at Alicante Airport

A young woman, said to be 28 years-of-age, died on Saturday afternoon after falling from a 20-metre height at Alicante-Elche airport.

The incident occurred a little after 5:30 p.m. on a footbridge located at the bus loading area.

A paramedic ambulance attended the scene and medics carried out cardiopulmonary resuscitation before transferring the woman to Elche General Hospital, where she died.

The incident is under investigation so as to ascertain what happened and no further details have been released by the emergency services.
