From today, Wednesday, the criminal sections of the Provincial Court of Valencia will be hearing evidence against a man and a woman for sexual offences against a vulnerable victim.

The Prosecutor’s Office is asking for 15 years in prison for a crime of sexual assault for the man and 12 years in prison for the woman who was responsible for the home of an NGO in which people in a situation of international protection or asylum seekers were taking refuge.

Both are accused of raping a 21-year-old girl, a user in the aforementioned home in April 2020, during the state of alarm, when the defendant went to the apartment dressed in a Civil Protection vest and the accused woman took him to the room of the victim, sheltered in a Red Cross program, where he forced her sexually in exchange for an amount of money that he paid to the person in charge of the house.
