On May 4th volunteers and friends took to the catwalk at the Punta Marina Commercial Centre for the Samaritans Fashion Show. Entering into the spirit of things, and demonstrating skills hitherto hidden, the volunteers modelled and posed in outfits donated to the Samaritans Shop. With ‘nearly new’ outfits averaging 5 euros, it was definitely the chance to bag a bargain.
Approximately 400 euros was raised during the afternoon which will ensure that the Samaritans can continue to provide help to their callers. The Trustees extend their thanks to all volunteers who worked hard to make the day a success and to the public for supporting the event.
The Samaritans in Spain offer a 24/7 free confidential support service for anyone experiencing distress or despair and can be contacted on 902 88 35 35. The drop – in centre is now open from 10am – 2pm for personal callers at The Samaritans Shop in the Punta Marina Commercial Centre Torrevieja.
