Eleven people have been killed and twelve people have been injured, six of them seriously, in nine traffic incidents on the roads of Spain this weekend, in the preliminary count of incidents between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening.
The two worst crashes of the weekend were on both Saturday and Sunday. The first occurred on Saturday on the N-234, at Torrelapaja in Zaragoza, when two people aged 79 and 67 were killed in a head on collision between two vehicles. This crash also left five people seriously injured. Then, on Sunday, two people were killed on the N-340 at Tarifa in Cádiz, when two bikes collided.
Sunday has been the worst day of the weekend overall with a total of five fatalities and one person seriously injured. On Saturday there were four deaths, with five people seriously injured and the other two deaths were on Friday.
