ROJALES TOWN HALL SUPPORTS EHCRC FOUNDATION

ROJALES Town Hall has announced it’s full support to the Easy Horse Care Rescue Centre Foundation (EHCRC) saying by working together they could boost local tourism.

The Mayor of Rojales, Antonio Perez García, accompanied by fellow councillors recently took up an invitation to visit the EHCRC. So impressed with the work they do, meetings have since been held between the Town Hall, the rescue centre and the three main hotels in the area to be able to offer tourism packages for the ever increasing number of people enquiring about volunteering holidays and visits to the centre. Derek Monks, councillor for Foreign Residents said the Town Hall was looking forward to a strong working relationship with the centre: “Sue and Rod have so much vision about conservation of the countryside and there is a lot of potential to attract more people and tourism. With 856 people unemployed in the municipality we are keen to look at new ways to increase tourism and jobs.”

Councillor for Tourism, Marie Pierre Dubois added: “Educating younger generations about animal welfare is also very important.”

Tatiana canizares councillor for education and libraries has translated their leaflet into Spanish and these are now available in local town halls and tourist information offices.

Sue said: “We were honoured to have the Mayor and his team visit and we have a wonderful working relationship with the council and look forward to exciting projects ahead.”

The Rescue Centre is open to the public every Sunday from 1300 till 1700.

There is tasty hot food, cakes and refreshments available together with their very popular horse tours.
