Now that the Moros y Cristianos have finished their occupation of Jávea Puerto, the general public can return to admire the work on the craft stands along the beach promenade – they aim to remain every evening from 7 till midnight till 15 September
Twenty stalls (no room for more) will offer Artesania de Autor, i.e. craft work made exclusively by the people at the stall, such as hand painted clothing, leather handbags that will last you a life time, cunningly wrought hand-turned ball pens in exotic woods, objets d’art such as giant insect table lamps, ceramic and wrought iron work, and individually designed jewelry. And, usually on the Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday a potter comes along with his wheel to teach you how to make your own pot for a mere 3 euro.
Every evening, from 7 till 12 midnight, till 15 September. More information, even in English, on 639 979 678 or you could take a peek at www.amata.es (also in English).
